I cannot give enough praise about this establishment - the food, the accommodations, the land, the workers, the vibe - all superior. I Was there for a retreat and only wish it could’ve been much much longer. I was sad to leave this little piece of heaven on earth 🙏 I look forward to returning!Posted on Google![]()

The Crossing at Ghost River is a gem in the world of hospitality. I’m not sure where they find their staff, but each and everyone one of them are thoughtful and dedicated to an outstanding experience. I came to Ghost River for a two day work meeting and it speaks volumes that we booked in advance for 2025 to return for our next meeting before we even leaving the venue. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our 16 person group - from food preferences to ensuring accessibility and comfort for our wheelchair user. They ran me printed materials on a moments notice, made sure our beer was cold, and that the snacks were laid out for our impromptu hockey game party. The venue is beautiful, clean, beds comfortable. The air is fresh and wifi is top notch. You haven’t experience a retreat until you’ve been to the Crossing at Ghost River. Do yourself a favor and book a stay.Posted on Google![]()

Yes, yes, yes! Experience of a lifetime at this location! I was greeted by a super friendly lady and she showed me my room + gave me all the info about the resort. The kitchen staff and waiters are top class as well as they were always there to greet me and to provide delicious food and deserts. The room I stayed in was cleaner than in a 5-star hotel in a major city. The beds are super comfortable and there are extra blankets and pillows available if needed. The bathroom was stunning and super clean. There is not one spot on the shower curtains or walls! The resort has access to the river where you can have a campfire or where you can take a dip in the cold water. Lots of space to walk or just to sit among the trees. This resort has a meeting room that can be used for private events. There are two flat screen TVs and a projector screen. There is enough parking and they close the gate at night. This place is a true gem in the area and definitely worth a visit! Highly recommended. This place deserves more than 5 stars! Update: every time I go to this place it gets better and better!+8Posted on Google![]()

Had the pleasure of attending a corporate retreat at this gem overlooking the deep valley of the Ghost River. The food was exceptionally good (and generously provided), the staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, the room was cozy and spacious, the meeting rooms' decor incorporated the beautiful environment. I will hope to find a reason to go back there again!Posted on Google![]()

For our family reunion the Crossing at Ghost River was all that we knew it would be. The staff were so kind and accommodating. They bent over backwards to cater to those of our group with food allergies. The facilities were outstanding and of course, the food was amazing. Having stayed at the Crossing for business meetings, I told my family that we may never eat that well at a family reunion again and they all agreed. Many thanks to the staff for helping make our family reunion such a memorable event!!!Posted on Google![]()

It was an absolute pleasure to host ViTreo Group's strategic planning retreat at the Crossing. The location is remote and beautiful, the service is outstanding, and Carol (our coordinator) made everything seamless from start to finish. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and very much look forward to an opportunity to return. Thank you Crossing!Posted on Google![]()

Great hotel and retreat. Food is fantastic, it would be a no brainer for anyone to check out for events or visit. I dare say the rooms are perfectly sized, no bad choices for rooms in terms of balancing needs and options for someone staying in. There is a few things to buy and check out. Also having access to the river in a very picturesque way.Posted on Google![]()

The Crossing at Ghost River is the perfect spot for a getaway. I have been here for meetings but our personal weekend away was just what we needed! It is peaceful to walk to the river, enjoy a campfire, or relax with a good book. It is so quiet and the rooms are very comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our weekend away was perfect! It is also a short drive to the mountains if you want to go hiking. We would definitely recommend the Crossing at Ghost River.Posted on Google![]()

The Crossing is a beautiful location, the scenery is spectacular, etc. etc. blah blah.... you can find that anywhere, really. The Crossing is different and special because of the people who work there. They regularly host retreats for veterans struggling with PTSD, they donate food and time to less privileged people in the local area.... go to the Crossing because the people who work there care about you and want you to be happy. There are not so many good people in the world that you can afford not have more in your life.Posted on Google![]()

We have hosted our Resident Retreat here twice now and continue to receive raving reviews about it being the best retreat venue. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, there are plenty of activities to bond over, and the FOOD, oh my goodness. We heard numerous times that it was clear the food was home cooked with love and attention, containing plenty of vegetables and non-meat options, and was as nutritious as it was delicious.Posted on Google![]()

Just before Christmas, we held our staff retreat at The Crossing at Ghost River. Although it was close to the holidays, they cheerfully accepted our request. The accommodations and meeting space were very comfortable and the food was absolutely excellent! We never had to ask for anything as they anticipated our needs without missing a beat. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone who wishes to organize a personal or work-related event!Posted on Google![]()

It's an absolute pleasure to leave a review for The Crossing at Ghost River. I facilitate a number of client offsite/retreats each year and whenever possible I try to use The Crossing - geography, client requirements and location sometimes play a factor but when I have creative control of a location, I really value The Crossing. Communication and scheduling is simple and easy. It's shocking how many other venues make this difficult. The staff are beyond accommodating. If you've ever been to the venue then you know you're staying at a ranch house. The setting is very intimate, and the staff seems to have this sixth sense that allows them to make everyone feel at ease and get down to work. The Venue has everything I really need from spacious and comfortable rooms (great sleep), an accommodating meeting room with all the necessary A/V, to a games room and wood burning fireplace. The location is ideal for what I need - away from the business of our day to day lives yet only an hours drive from the west side of Calgary, and an abundance of nature with room to stretch and play. The food... some of the best I've ever had... they can accommodate every food and allergy situation that I've ever come across. Price - no issues. A sale is the result of value created, and The Crossing brings value in spades.Posted on Google![]()

We recently hosted a corporate retreat at the Crossing and from start to finish it was exceptional! As the venue only has 27 sleeping rooms we were able to fully book the space and it was a very cool experience to be the only guests on site. The staff was very accommodating and worked with us on all of our event needs. The food was exceptional and the chef did an excellent job of accommodating our guests with special dietary needs. Our employees have raved about this event and said it was one of the best we have ever hosted - we would definitely return for a 2nd event!Posted on Google![]()

Our team had a great time at the Crossing. Though we did not book it exclusively for ourselves, we were between two weddings without any other groups meeting. We did not choose our own menu but went with the chef's choice. The food was INCREDIBLE. The setting was lovely, even in the rain. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we would definitely consider using the Crossing again.Posted on Google![]()

I’ve attended several corporate management retreats at the Crossing at Ghost River. It’s the perfect venue if you’re looking to isolate your group from everyday work distractions. Their site is easy to access but feels remote as your surrounded by the natural beauty of the foothills of Alberta. Cost wise it’s comparable to any hotel but the food, service, and uniqueness of the site far exceed what any hotel can provide.Posted on Google![]()

This is the perfect leadership retreat location. I've hosted many leadership and executive teams at The Crossing and every time is just as consistent and spectacular as the last. The location is ideal for a retreat being out in nature without the distraction of a busy bigger hotel. Often we are the only guests on site or one other group. The staff provide customized service and will do anything they can to ensure your stay is comfortable. A special word has to be said about the food. Doug and Prasad's cooking and baking are amazing. The only down side is that that food is so good many of my guests end up over eating during their stay! The Crossing caters to any and all dietary restrictions and no one feels like they have received the "special" meal that is less than anyone elses. They are experts in vegan, gluten free, dairy free, paleo, celiac, allergy, you name it they will ensure you are well cared for and have the most amazing dining experience. Be sure to talk a walk on the property to the river to enjoy all the Crossing has to offer. In good weather, ask the team to build you a bonfire in the outside fire pit or to start the fireplace indoors on cold days. For overnight retreats, there is a fabulous games room with darts, ping pong and billards. We usually do a games night round robin tournamet followed with a game of pictionary. Host a retreat here and you'll be coming back again and again.Posted on Google![]()

I hosted an event for 25 women at the Ghost River. It was a wonderful experience. From the excellent and responsive coordination efforts of Carol Pegg to the incredible food, it was consistently high quality. We loved the facilities, grounds, and accommodations. It's a perfect place for a small corporate retreat or extended family social event ...just far enough from the city to feel remote and peaceful, but only a 45 min drive from Calgary on paved and maintained road even in snowy conditions. I highly recommend it, but I also want to keep it a secret so that I dont have competition for dates when I want to book our next event!Posted on Google![]()

HPEC would highly recommend the Crossing at Ghost River as a venue for meetings. We have hosted out Annual Strategic Planning Retreat at the Crossing at Ghost River for multiple years and found the staff to be a pleasure to work. In the months leading up to our events the staff communicated regularly and worked with our council to meet any unique needs we had. The flexibility, facilities, food and hospitality of the staff exceeded out expectations.Posted on Google![]()
